Sunlight Reduction Algae Control
Limiting the amount of sunlight is effective in managing filamentous algae, but not eliminating other species. Pond dyes produce different shades of color that block the sunlight, and are safe to use for plants or algae. You can find several of these items here on our website.
Other options include utilizing another plant species that can inhibit the light from penetrating the bottom of the lake or pond. Â These can be effective and risky. You must choose the right species for the environment and temperature in your geological region.
